Ben Gerenstein has over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur and information technology executive. He has been President and CEO of ZyEdge, LLC since its inception in 2001. Prior to founding ZyEdge, Mr. Gerenstein was Founder, President & CEO of TruEdge Technologies, Inc. TruEdge, one of the top Cisco network integration firms in the Mid-Atlantic region, was acquired by Sonic Telecom in May of 2000.
Mr. Gerenstein has held executive IT positions and provided senior-level consulting services for numerous companies, including Dow Jones, Goldman Sachs, British Aerospace, Metropolitan Fiber Systems and Bull North America. His passion, however, is providing exceptional managed network services to small and mid-sized organizations.
Mr. Gerenstein is an active member of the Northern Virginia business community and recently accepted a Fantastic 50 award from the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The Fantastic 50 is Virginia's most prestigious award for small and medium-sized entrepreneurial companies.
Mr. Gerenstein is a graduate of Colgate University and holds a BA in Computer Science, as well as an MBA.
As Vice President of Sales, James Rafferty is responsible for the development and expansion of ZyEdge's client base of small to mid-sized organizations, as well as managing a team of account executives. Since joining ZyEdge, Mr. Rafferty has been directly responsible for doubling the company's client base and successfully targeting new vertical markets.
Mr. Rafferty has held numerous positions in sales and marketing. While with The AD Group and Londonderry Group, he was responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts, including penetrating key market segments with several Fortune 500 companies including AT&T, Qwest, and Sprint. At Platinum Marketing, he was quickly promoted to Director of Sales and assumed the responsibility of building and developing a sales team that out performed any other team on the east coast.
Mr. Rafferty is a graduate of Old Dominion University, where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Technical Studies, with minors in Communications and Marketing.
As CTO, Ryan West is responsible for drafting, developing and implementing technology solutions that best serve the needs of prospects and customers. He leads a team of certified IT experts in all facets of IT and is responsible for managing the ongoing development of technology products and services that incorporate the latest advances in IT.
Ryan West has worked in the Cisco Systems consultancy and design field for over 10 years. He is a seasoned network engineer with experience in the Information Technology field across multiple disciplines with a focus on IP convergence technologies. His goal, when designing networks, is to architect solutions that propel business success.
Along with his CCIE certification, CCIE #24360, Ryan received a BS in Information Technology (Summa Cum Laude) from George Mason University.
